Ewan Gordon McGregor, OBE Was born on 31st March 1971, is a Scottish actor who has had success in mainstream, indie, and art house films. Ewan McGregor was ranked No. 36 on Empire magazine's "The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time" list in 1997. In 2010 Ewan McGregor won Best Actor for playing the title role in Roman Polanski's film The Ghost Writer at the 23rd European Film Awards.
